Tues 26th Feb

Next Home Group meeting will be on tues the 26th Feb @ 8. This will be our last session of looking at Jonah ! :( So put on your thinking caps as to what you'd like to look into next!

Again we'll start off with some catching up (and probably reminiscing about the pirate golf!) and then we'll get stuck into Session 6 in the Jonah books - Jonah in the New Testament. We've already seen how stubborn, rebellious and down-right crazy Jonah can be BUT he's there for us to learn from ... and maybe because there's a little bit of the run-away Jonah in all of us ...

So let's see what Jesus has to say about Jonah ! See you there :)

Crazy Pirate Golfing !

This saturday we are meeting at Dundonald Ice Bowl @ 7 to go crazy pirate golfing !! It is £5.50 and could possibly be very cold, so come wrapped up! Look forward to seeing you all there !

Jonah: Warning Signs

A prophet refuses God's commands, flees across the water, is thrown overboard by zealous pagan sailors, saved by a giant fish and cast up on a beach. So begins one of the Bible's most famous stories, one which has intrigued Christian readers for centuries. In six engaging studies, we follow Jonah's journey to the city of Nineveh. We consider what God might be teaching Jonah through the voyage, and what lessons we ourselves can learn about God's compassion, His power and His patience.

Outline
  1. The rebellious prophet
  2. A great Old Testament word
  3. A song from the deep
  4. The repentance of Nineveh
  5. Why is Jonah angry with God?
  6. Jonah in the New Testament
